Biography Ray Clemens received a Ph.D. from Columbia University. His areas of expertise include the Renaissance and Reformation, and his research interests are gender and spirituality, medieval sexuality and women in medieval religion. Currently, he is working on two book projects: Negotiating Sanctity: The Cult of the Magdalen in the Late Medieval and Early Modern Europe, and Introduction to Manuscripts and Archival Studies.
