BiographyRebecca Saunders holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Wisconsin, Madison. She specializes in late 19th- and 20th-century European and African literatures and in literary and cultural theory. She has published articles on Dimtiris Hatzis, Virginia Woolf, Alexandros Papadiamantis, William Faulkner, Stephane Mallarme and J. M. Coetzee. She is the author of At God's Funeral: Lamentation and the Culture of Modernity, the editor of a book entitled The Concept of the Foreign: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue, and co-editor of the journal Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa and the Middle East. | |
