BiographyBecca Chase is the assistant director and academic advisor of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program. She teaches women’s studies and women’s literature courses at Illinois State University. Previously, she taught women’s studies at New York University and Hunter College (City University of New York); teacher education at New York University the New School for Social Research, and Illinois State University; and composition at New York University. She received a Ph.D. in English Education from New York University, where she also earned a Certificate in Women’s Studies. She has presented her research at the conferences of the National Women’s Studies Association and National Council of Teachers of English, among others. Becca is the co-editor, with Paula Ressler, of the March 2009 themed issue of English Journal on sexual orientation and gender variance. | ||
