Biography

Sesha Kethineni is a Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice Sciences. In her 16 years of teaching at Illinois State University (ISU), she has taught Introduction to Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, Comparative Criminal Justice, World Criminal Justice Systems, Family Violence, and Evaluation Research Methods. Her research focuses on domestic violence, comparative juvenile justice, international drug policies, and female offenders in India. Her recent works address female homicide offending in India, status of children in India, victim and offender characteristics and protective orders in domestic violence cases in the United States, and youth-parent-battering. Her co-authored book Comparative Delinquency: India and the United States, received the 1997 Distinguished Book Award from the International Division of American Society of Criminology. Kethineni also received the College of Applied Science and Technology’s (ISU) Outstanding Researcher Award.
