BiographyShari Zeck teaches cinema studies in the School of Theatre, where she directs the College’s interdisciplinary degrees in Arts Technology and leads the Office of Research in Arts Technology (ORAT). Educated at Indiana University and the University of Iowa, Zeck’s formal study has been in comparative literature with emphases on film, German and American literature, and feminist theory. Her current research addresses the intersections of queer identities, emerging technologies, and popular culture. Her publications include essays on Fried Green Tomatoes, The Bangles, and Cagney and Lacey. Issues concerning representations of female bonding form the core of her scholarly explorations. | |
