The Women’s and Gender Studies Program is committed to helping our students succeed. Our Resource Center and Library house an extensive collection of media resources. Women’s and Gender Studies scholarships and grants are awarded to high-achieving students and those who need assistance. Women’s and Gender Studies students may also find the following campus organizations especially helpful:
- The Women’s Project empowers women to produce, direct, design, and perform theatre. Performances are by women, about women and for women.
- The Women’s Mentoring Network supports female students who are beginning or returning to college after an interruption in their formal education.
- Feminist Led Activist Movement to Empower (FLAME) is a registered student organization that promotes activism against patriarchal power systems..
- ISU Pride is a registered student organization that promotes and preserves a safe political, social, and educational forum for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, questioning, and allied students, faculty, staff, and members of the community.
- The Latin American and Latino/a Studies program is a multidisciplinary community of scholars committed to building cultural bridges between the university and the Americas, and engaged in innovative scholarship, teaching, and outreach that fosters new knowledge about Latin America, the Caribbean, and Latinos.
